Making Scents

Excellent service during a national lockdown! Friendly and nice attitude to a Nana miles away from her granddaughter on her 5th Birthday! Will definitely use them again!

The flowers I received from this shop were no florist-quality at all. Surprisingly, they didn't looked "store bought" as in they've been picked from someone's garden from a week ago before it was delivered to me! The roses' petals were drying up! This was the first time I received something from a flower shop that did not look impressive! Weird that the flowers was packaged in a box too! Maybe the flowers have been in there for a week prior to delivery?! Don't order from this florist!

Whilst I appreciate the effort made to deliver my order at 9.30pm on a Saturday (apparently the Harefield shop had been closed when I went to collect as arranged because a member of staff was having an operation), the flowers themselves were extremely disappointing. They bore very little resemblance to the bouquet advertised and pictured (I ordered the bouquet 'as pictured' on the website) with all but three red roses being substituted with different flowers. Furthermore, in my opinion and that of a horticulturalist I showed the bouquet to, the flowers substituted were of significantly lower value than those described and pictured on the Making Scents website.

Of course there may be occasions when some substitutions have to be made for reasons beyond a florist's control. However, any flowers/foliage substituted should be of equivalent or greater value.

I emailed Making Scents to express my disappointment but seven days on have not received any response from them.

Very bed customer service and would seriously recommend avoiding. Ordered a single rose and a love heart box of chocolate that was demonstrated by their picture, but what I got was a box of cheep Belgian shells which I could have got from the pound shop, and not the one they advertise. the chocolates were soaking wet and the box fell apart in my hands had to bin them. The rose lasted one day before going limp, had flowers last longer from tescos. I called twice and was told someone would call me back but didn't. I was then told to phone Harefield to the manager were I was spoken to quite abruptly and couldn't get a word in edgeways. Seems no one wants to take responsibility now they have had my money. Very bad customer service and certainly would never use again. May have to go to trading standards to get my money back. Very unhappy.
