I wouldn't recommend it!

Unfortunately this so called country "pub" has reverted to a restaurant. I went for Sunday lunch and was very disappointed, 2 small carrots, 3 small sprouts not enough beef and the meal was served within 5 minutes of sitting down! This tells me that the meals are cooked beforehand and then microwaved when ordered. I wouldn't recommend it, definitely overpriced for what you get and I shan't be going there again!

Ive never had a bad meal here :-)

This is my default place for meals out on special occasions or just when I fancy a treat. Quite simply, Ive never had a bad meal here or a bad experience and I have high standards! On a sunny day the outside seating area is lovely and overlooks the fields surrounding the pub and the inside is cosy and relaxing. At Christmas the pub is decorated beautifully and really gets you in the spirit. For any occasion this is my favourite place and I noticed recently they now have an outdoor television.... Afternoons on the patio watching sport? Yes please :-)

This is a well known and very busy pub/restaurant. It has a good reputation and serves good quality food. The pub itself is over 400 years old so expect a traditional setting. It is located in lovely countryside and has a good outdoor seating area as well. The food served is equisite and always includes a good variety of fish and meat such as steak, veal and sea bas. The food is always freshly prepared and well presented. They also do a good lunchtime menu and lighter meals. As the pub is popular parking can be a bit of a battlefield and there is an overflow car park across the road.
