The mechanics at Murdo Murchison checked over my car on the spot after I’d had an accident nearby. I was very shaken and they fixed a couple of necessary bits and reassured me that my car was safe to drive home and offered to sort out the rest of the necessary repairs. I took it in the following day and received the best care and service and asked if I was ok following the accident. Thank you for your kindness and reassurance - I wouldn’t have been able to drive home by myself without it. I will certainly be recommending Murdo Murchison. Saviours!

Don't let some of the previous historical reviews to stop you buying a car here. It has been under new ownership by Gavin McFadgen and I have given my experience 5 stars.
It is very nerve racking buying a car as a female on her own with little understanding of what I'm doing. Gavin McFadgen motors is family run and u can feel this a soon as you walk in unlike the bigger very professional looking car garages. You get the feeling they really want the best for you and to relax and enjoy the experience of buying a car. Gavin and John (his dad) explained everything to me in a manner I understood and took their time with me without any pressure. His mum morag made lovely cups of tea and biscuits whilst doing the paperwork. Even the mechanics come and talk to you. If you are thinking of buying a car...DEFINATELY to here. A place to be trusted and I love my car!!

I have been dealing with Murdo Murchison for a number of years and have found him and his staff both honest and extremely helpful.I have lately had a dilemma about what car to buy my wife and Finlay at Murdo MURCHISONS
As i live in the isle of harris which is considerably further away than than the 70 miles the previous reviewer is and they have on numerous occasions taken a car up to kyle of lochalsh for me to try for an unlimited time and have done so without question.
I have bought several cars from this garage and will continue to do so in the future.
Unlike your previous reviewer i would invite you to go to this garage and see both the good cross section of cars they sell at competitive prices and the friendly and helpful staff and owner i have had the pleasure of dealing with over the years.
An old saying comes to mind as i write.
You cant please all the people all of the time.
