Mac Motors Mot Centre Ltd

My name is Mark Watkins-McGowan, my interest in cars and bikes started at an early age, driving old post office vans around a field in Sussex. By the age of thirteen I had carried out an engine change, by the time I was twenty I was accomplished at working on cars and motorbikes, I then decided to have a go at rallying and eventually built a full spec MK1 Escort.

My full time career gave me little time to follow my passion, but work colleagues, seeing my talent, asked me to repair their cars.

Later I decided to swap careers and go full time in the motor trade. After a short spell working for myself I had an offer of a job from a main dealer, a Fiat Alfa dealership!

Soon after joining the dealership I was promoted to Workshop Foreman. I later moved back to my home town and found an encouraging job for a potential new Fiat Alfa dealer in town! It didn’t come to fruition but the dealership promoted me to Foreman in their Chevrolet workshop, and after a short spell I became the After Sales Manager,

Later in my progression I became Master Tech for Mercedes Benz, and later also Land Rover.

After a few years an opportunity to own my own garage presented itself and was a chance to grow my own garage into my dream.

Mac Motors MOT Centre Ltd was born.
