I had this gentleman down as a decent man, as he replaced a wheel to my mothers wheelchair earlier in the year. However, I took my mothers wheelchair, which had a broken brake cable, to him to be repaired and he led me to believe it was not repairable by himself and offered me old mobility apparatus that my husband (which I do not have) could do a makeshift repair on. Knowing my elderly mother could not manage without a wheelchair I considered purchasing another from him. He recommended two, both at £100 pounds and offered me £20 for my mother's wheelchair, which I purchased from Millercare only two to three years ago ! Thank God I decided to rent the wheelchair for £20 to ensure it was suitable. It transpired that my mother's wheelchair was easily fixed for as little as £10.09 with a new brake cable (which my brother fitted with no wheelchair expertise). I am very disappointed that a trusted local trade person with assumed wheelchair expertise told me it could not be fixed.
