Located in the village of Oakworth we serve the villages of the Worth Valley including Oakworth, Oxenhope, Haworth, Stanbury, Oldfield, Cross Roads, Keighley and occasinally further afield.

George Whitaker started joinery and undertaking at my present premises in Oakworth in 1927 and was joined by my father in 1936. The name Feather & Leeson formed in 1947 with my father Maurice Leeson and Norman Feather buying the business from Mr Whitaker. My father continued to run the firm after the death of Mr Feather in 1959. When I left school at the age of sixteen I myself joined the business and learned a great deal from my father who sadly passed away in February 2002.

From that point on I became a full time funeral director now trading as Lyndon M. Leeson still carrying on the good name my father built up over the years. It is often said in most professions there is no replacement for experience and none more so than the funeral service

Our service respects the deceased and takes care of the coffin, bearers, cremation/burial bookings, all documentation, cars, ministers, church, organists, donations, hymn sheets, flowers, paper notices, catering, memorials, in fact your only immediate concern is to register the death (transport is offered for those in need), inform family members and see to private personal matters.
