Well worth a visit

Docked a point for ambience because it was too quiet, but that will change once people try it.

I wasn't sure we needed another Indian since the Maharaja move the game on locally for its food (and also for its bizarrely dark decor) but to my mind Lounge India has (even) nicer food and a nicer airy bright dining area too, which does it for me even if you do have to walk an extra 50 yards from a car park. I've been trying the fusion dishes, the kids tell me its the best chicken korm a they've had locally.

Lounge India - Worth a visit

Bit tricky to rate the ambience - it was quiet when we went. I've been a couple of times and I think this is probably the best Indian food round here - certainly the game has changed after the Maharja and then Lounge India opened. I wasn't sure we needed another Indian restaurant, but I'm won over. You have to park in the square or town car park, but the 5 minute walk is worth it and the decor is much lighter (and to my mind much better) than the Maharaja. If you're used to the Gandhi, be prepared for a shock, especially with the variety on the menu. I had a pretty decent takewaya the other night too.
