Excellent experience in all respects

I needed a leisure battery for a camper van in a hurry. Longton Batteries had been recommended and I was very glad that I went there. The range of batteries was impressive and the staff extremely helpful with both advice and assistance. They fitted the battery for me on request and disposed of the old one at no extra cost. I was also very pleased with the price: better than elsewhere where I had tried. There was also parking right beside the shop.

Old Fashioned 5 Star service

I Bought a top of the range Varta Battery for my Citroen Xsara Picasso 1.6 Diesel on 22nd of december..
I thought I had a faulty battery, and I e mailed Alan with my problem on Sunday Morning. I could not believe it when Alan phoned me and offered to swap the Battery later that Morning !!
I met him at his shop and he thoroughly tested the Varta Battery I bought off him.
It turns out the battery is fine and that my Starter motor is tired.
Definitely a 5 Star service and he went well above and beyond what anyone could have reasonably expected.
Its this sort of all too rare Old fashioned service thats all too rare these days.
I 100% recommend Longton Battery Services.

Service, service, service ...........

I thought I needed a new battery. The owner tested the existing battery, and checked to see if it was an alternator problem. (alternator was charging fine) He showed me the figures on his device.
A new battery was needed. He fitted it for me, there and then. (no fitting charge if he can keep the old battery)
Great service. I wouldn't go anywhere else now.

Excellent product and useful advice

I urgently needed 5 litres of battery acid for a 'job' that I was doing. Having searched online the prices were too high and there were no clear instructions of how to use the product in a satisfactory manner. The guy at Longton Battery Services was able to supply the full amount on a 'sale or return' basis and also provided me with some excellent tips on how to get the most from my purchase. En the end I needed the full five litres to complete the job, but I would certainly recommend Longton to anyone else in a similar situation who requires a service which is courteous, cheap, knowledgeable and discrete. Five stars.
