Reviews

Always a treat to visit.

5
I decided to write a review because the last few reviews left on here are people moaning, and I don't think this place deserves it. I have been visiting Longacres for years and I love it. I have bought stuff online and had it delivered too. Their plants are pretty good quality, they have a huge selection and the prices are pretty good when compared with other garden centers. Every place will have its ups and downs, but it is always a fun visit, with lots to see and buy and generally pretty good service.

Disappointing customer service

3
Yet again our trolley of plants disappeared while we were looking at garden furniture, only to be found where the plants came from. Assistant's view was a customer had taken it. Unlikely. More likely moved for plants to be put back on racks as it was the end of the day. Admission of an honest mistake thinking the trolley had been abandoned would have been totally accepted and appreciated. Customer Services trotted out the same thing.

The cafe is dreadful

1
This is about the cafe, rather than the garden centre. We used to visit regularly last summer and the cafe was great. What has happened to it?!!!! The last couple of times the food has been dreadful, there are staff everywhere but all the tables are always strewn with used cups and plates…… staff seem to be arguing all of the time. It’s truly awful!! If your staff have so little pride as to present your customer with a completely burnt toastie and a slop of coleslaw on the side and think that’s acceptable well good luck for the future!! Everyone was complaining. It’s a total embarrassment!!

Terrible

1
My second visit to Bagshot today - went last week and decided to return. I can only describe the whole thing as uncomfortable. We entered and immediately looked at some confectionary on offer - a security guard jumped right behind us which was very odd. After a while looking around, we both paid for the items that we had been walking around with but went back in to go to the cafe. On the way out, we were both separately interrogated about our receipts which we duly found. Even in the cafe, I heard members of staff being dismissive about my friend. I won't be coming back - a really bad customer experience. And I'm not normally one to moan but I ran 30 shops myself so I know what feels good in retail and what doesn't. This certainly was a very weird and uncomfortable shop to visit.
