I would certainly recommend George on the basis of the work he did for us. We thought we would need a new front door, but his assessment proved accurate that this was not the problem. He made a new door frame and refitted the old door, ensuring that all locks worked. We were therefore able to keep our original door with stained glass window. George worked to a very high standard and left the place extremely clean and tidy. We are delighted.

George and his team completed a comprehensive repair and renovation of the front door to our Victorian property in the Streatham/Balham area during February 2020. This included removing the cracked and dirty leaded lights (stained glass) and boarding the door up, then repairing the leaded lights offsite; stripping the old varnish off the door and attentively repairing certain areas with epoxy resin; fitting new locks and door furniture; repainting the door and the door frame; refitting the repaired leaded lights in the door; installing new hinges; and finally also putting in draught proofing. I can't believe what George and the team were able to do with the door and we are over the moon with it. George was helpful explaining what he intended to do and provided a detailed quote which he stuck to. He communicated regularly both before and after the work started. Work was completed on time. The team were friendly, cleaning up everything when they left. Highly recommended.

I bought a house that was built in 1928 with the original door, it had a unique leaded window designed by the naval officer who commissioned the building. The door was in poor condition with layers of paint but was also very draughty.
George and his team took over 6 days to strip and renovate it. The leaded window has been double glazed, all new door furniture and draft proofing. The door looks simply stunning.
The patience and workmanship of George and his team is quite incredible. He totally understood what I want to achieve and that I didn't want it to look like a new reproduction door.
I work in high end construction and interiors and I rarely see skill like this, (tragically).
I can't recommend them enough, I wish I had more front doors!
