Terrible bank. people are friendly but hamstrung by appalling systems and bureaucratic process. telephone answering wait times are abysmal.

Impossible to act as POA for my sick mother due to timewasting automated system which doesnt work

Totally impossible to contact the branch unless you are a customer. We have power of attorney for my mother who has been a customer for decades. However trying to contact them you are forced to go through the automated system which doesn't recognise our details even though we spent more than an hour at the bank registering them in person. Just awful.

Trying to contact this bank by telephone with a query is almost impossible if you're not a customer. My father in law needed to cancel an appointment, as he had to attend hospital. He asked me to call them, I tried in vain. The only number given is for existing customers and you need to enter account information. Surely they should make it a little easier. If I were trying to open an account with them I would have just given up and gone elsewhere
