Upstairs Lights

Sorry that this review is late - Last week my lights upstairs weren't working at all, so I checked online and ended up contacting Lightworks. The engineer arrived promptly and soon restored the upstairs lights.

He was professional, friendly and the service was top notch.

On the whole if I had a problem with my electrics again I'll know who to call.

My mother – who is almost 80 and confined to a wheelchair – called this firm out, as she was unable to switch off her bathroom light.

When the employee attended, he quickly discovered that the light cord had become trapped behind her bathroom mirror. He pulled the cord out. I suspect the job lasted – from arrival to completion – about 5 minutes. And required no expert knowledge or skill.

My mother was charged £90 in total for this ‘work’. She had understood that there was no call out charge – and the charges were not explained to her in advance.

I contacted the firm and they refused to compromise. I feel they have taken advantage of an old and disabled woman. It's just appalling.

They didnt fix the fuse box

They took £65 from us for a call out charge to fix the fuse box. Then they said it will be £129 within the first hour to fix it. Nobody came because we have solved the problem ourselves they refused to give the money back because of the terms and conditions however they didn't inform us on the terms of conditions policy and they said on the phone that we pretty much didn't have any rights as a customer. I believe that this company isn't a good company and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

If anyone has trouble with their fuse box and the electric isn't working switch it back on and press the test button it should work as this helped for us.

Now as a company you should understand that terms and conditions should be sent by email with all the policies instead off making them up on the phone call.
