Hi, my name is Andy and I am a MBACP trauma focussed bereavement counsellor. I am a clinical Hypnotherapist and I am trained to use REWIND, a therapeutic technique used to help overcome trauma and PTSD.

I have a few years-experience working with grief and sudden loss. With sudden loss, there can be symptoms of trauma and PTSD. I help clients better understand their grief and I offer clients the space to grieve. I also work with the traumatic aspect of loss and help clients to understand their trauma and how their trauma can be overcome.

I offer an empathetic, warm, safe environment in order for us to be able to build a trusting therapeutic relationship for you to be able to speak freely and explore your inner most thoughts and feelings without judgement.

Within this environment, we can talk about the struggles you have faced and help you to understand what has led you to counselling.

We will work at your pace throughout the sessions and there will be no pressure from me, this is your time and you may use this time to talk and explore whatever comes to mind. You may choose to talk and explore past or present issues and I am here to help you see positive change to help you move forward with your life.

I offer a free telephone consultation before arranging a first counselling session and this is so you are able to give me an overview of what has led you to counselling. It is also a chance for you to be able to speak me and ensure you feel comfortable working with me before we begin our sessions.
