Let's Bike- Eastbourne

I recently hired a bike from Lets Bike in Eastbourne for 6 days and it was a great, informal, inexpensive, and satisfactory experience. Decent quality bike and the more days you rent for the lower the average daily price works out. Would definitely hire again if visiting Eastbourne.
PS The hire address is a little out of the town centre but worth seeking out

Great Service! Initially, I was a bit worried about pursuing this service because the marketing was simple and I couldn't find any reviews on line, but I'm so glad I took the plunge. This is a family-run business that sells well-maintained, second-hand bikes to travellers with a guaranteed buy-back rate agreed upon in advance. It is run by a very nice older couple out of their home in Eastbourne. They have a good selection of very affordable bikes. I was able to try out several to find the right fit, and Stephen did some adjusting of the seat as well when I found one that suited. I bought a sturdy Raleigh road bike for 55GBP, plus a helmet and lock for another 16GBP or so, and when I brought it all back was given 48GBP, effectively making it a 24GBP for a 4-5 day rental, which is well below what was being asked at the more official bike shop by the stations (Blacks, I think), which was like 21GPB per day. Additionally, I was sent off with a packet of useful information about cycling in the area, and warnings about roads with bad traffic (and moronic drivers). It's a family-run business, so definitely call ahead to make sure someone is home. The day I called, he was out dropping off his grandson, and offered to pick me up at my guest house on the way back. I had a great experience with Let's Bike, so don't let the lack of internet presence make you think that this is a sketchy operation with stolen bikes or something. It is legitimate and very safe with very nice people.
