Landscapes by Lally

Quoted for work and asked for labour materials upfront which I reluctantly gave. Planned start date with material delivery went by. Informed by his building supplier his account had been suspended. We agreed he would return the money and he’s given me every excuse under the sun. Do not trust this man.

Please take our advice and do not hire this man!
We wanted a porcelain patio, a fence down one side and along the bottom, full turfing of the land and finally a screen underneath a raised deck.
We paid a substantial materials deposit up front.
Two days after starting the job, he asked for more money. We declined until our job was complete to our satisfaction.
The work was extremely poor quality and will need rectifying.
The turf is patchy, uneven and has a huge mound of excess earth under.
The bottom fence fell down after 2 days.
The patio tiles are loose and uneven and not grouted and some.
He attended no more than 3 days in any week and around 3-4 hours on those days.
He gave many excuses for absence.
He has used inferior or unsuitable materials or methods.
This has been an extremely stressful period for us and we feel like we have been taken for fools by Scott Lally, paying him money for shoddy work.
Please do not get caught out like we did.

Having initially had high hopes for Landscapes by Lally and his ability to deliver a garden renovation, we were in fact left extremely disappointed by the overall service received. Not only were there issues with everything he worked on, which all needed rectifying at extra cost, but he was unresponsive and would fail to turn up numerous times, making countless excuses. From poorly-laid flagstones and uneven turf to not properly planting laurels and leaving our ballustrade unsafe, his overall work was poor and his unresponsiveness to rectify his mistakes too.

BEWARE of this company! Took deposit of £2500 from me mid July to do work on my garden, haven’t been seen since. I have asked for my money back but my messages go unanswered. I would have awarded zero stars if it were possible. I accept I’ve lost my money but want to stop this happening to anyone else out there 😩

Quality job, really happy with the work Scott has done for us, would highly recommend to family and friends!
