Last year, I inherited my late mother’s house and decided to sell it. It was clear that the septic tank used to remove foul water was unlikely to meet current standards, so I initially asked Lancstanks to perform a survey of the existing system. Following their clear report and after considering other options, I commissioned Lancstanks to fit a new sewage treatment plant that met current standards. I definitely made the right decision, the work was done on time, to a high standard (meeting current regulations) and at a very reasonable price. As I do not live in the area, it was very important to me that I was kept well informed on progress. Everyone I spoke to was friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help. I was sent photos so I could see the work in progress and at the end of the job, it was hard to see that the lawn had ever been dug up! I would definitely recommend this friendly family firm to anyone considering work of this type.

We used Lancs Tanks to replace a septic tank with a complete sewage treatment plant. Despite several challenges including historic subterraneal obstacles they worked in a professional manner and delivered a very satisfactory solution to the work required. They worked very hard, competitively priced and completed the work to a high standard and on time. We would definitely recommend this company.

My experience of this family-run company has been second to none. From the answering of the phone to the call-back to discuss details and then a swift on-site visit (even though I live outside their normal patch), the customer service has been excellent. I cannot rate them highly enough.

This company is excellent the work they did couldn’t have been better and I was very pleased with the end result. The lads were very helpful and always polite and cleared up after themselves at the end of each day.

Employed Lancs Tanks to inspect a septic system, and check for compliance with the binding Rules 2020.
The level of service was substandard, with very limited contact throughout, particularity in response to specific questions posed in relation to the report provided.
The report itself was ambiguous, and lacking in detail, providing generic scenarios as opposed to actual facts.
As a result, we employed a second drainage firm to carry out further investigations. Subsequently, it became apparent that the septic system in question was polluting a watercourse only meters away, a fact which Lancs Tanks had failed to identify (despite it being extremely obvious).
Incredibly questionable workmanship, or perhaps a total lack of due care and attention?. Either way, the outcome for the customer is wasted time and money.
