I went to Lancaster’s for the first time on Saturday and could not have been more impressed. The staff were most helpful and the selection of pots and plants they had on display was quite something. I have been looking for large pots which aren’t too expensive, nor cracked chipped etc. I ended up buying 5 which I thought were in great condition and well priced for the size of them. I also ended up buying two indoor plants which I didn’t go for but they were in such good condition. I will definitely be going back

Lancasters staff are incredibly helpful. They were happy to change my order over the phone and let me pay the very helpful Jeff the excess. Jeff kindly took some heavy bags through for me - star!

Lancasters are expensive and a waste of time.

As a local to Walthamstow I wanted to buy some topsoil and turf from a local company but Lancasters at first lied about delivery times then they revealed that they use an external company for topsoil etc.. and this company were completely unhelpful concerning delivery times.. they couldn’t even narrow the delivery time down to am or pm... bulk bags of topsoil aren’t like an Amazon order.. can’t be left with a neighbour.. my advice.. use Springbridge direct Ltd.. and they’re £10 more per bag! 👎👎👎

Hi AvdA, thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear you had a less than satisfactory experience with our suppliers of Top Soil. We will, of course, relay the feedback to them also. Generally, we find that they are able to give AM or PM delivery times, so I am surprised they refused to do so. With products direct from our store, like the turf for instance, we always provide 1-2 hour windows. Please get in touch with the store and we can discuss a form of compensation for your troubles. I've visited Lancaster's a few times as I'm a local Walthamstow resident it's so useful having a garden centre on my doorstep. The staff have always been very helpful and accommodating and offer good advice. I don't have a car so the free delivery service is fantastic. My plants and pots were delivered straight away after I purchased them and they even gave me advice on my garden whilst they were there. Fully recommend.
