I've had a complete nightmare with the whole transaction of getting a horse from these fraudsters including threats, cover ups and trying to get money back. It's ended in court action so hopefully I can put the whole ordeal behind me once that's over with.

Bought a lovely horse 2 years ago. Within 3 weeks, behaviour problems. Horse returned, no questions asked as per agreement. Credit note, bought another boy from website, little star. Awkward situation as original horse fine when bought. Turned out was diagnosed as a headshaker (fitted the classic signs). Dealer decent, not his fault, honoured agreement. Nothing bad to say as how it was handled.

I was going to buy one last October 2014. Wording in advert very odd, gave the impression that it was one for anyone experienced or not but then in the write up story the wording implied was sharp, really double entry, to cover them selves?????? . I was frank with the man dealing with the sale as I was travelling a long way to see it but when I questioned it I was dropped fast!!!. The web site is odd. Statement now says as of the 1/04/15 new management not related to previous one in any way, yet same horse for sale and same flowery story describing the horse, for example the picture and description of Dario. Something very strange about Lakeside, form your own opinion. The comments from Lakeside are interesting in response to reviews are interesting.

Bought a horse and paid a deposit subject to him being vetted by my vet. When I rang the following day I wasn't allowed to use my own vet he wanted me to use one local to them. I got suspicious so asked for my deposit back which he said he would. I had to constantly ring for my deposit which I eventually got back after threatening him with the police but it was still £25 short.

i would strongly advise anyone against buying a horse off these people. I went to see one a few weeks ago... Very below standard and horses in poor health
