Lakeside Mental Health Unit

Very awful in service,breech in confidentiality, misuse of physical intervention. Bad at communication and staff are dissmive and treat you inhumanly.

they want you dead. they don’t care about you, was literally discharged with no notification and because i missed a phone call. considering the people they deal with i think that’s completely unacceptable. was told to get referred back through my doctor but the negligence by the nhs is on such a grand scale that it just wouldn’t happen, only got in last time because i tried to off myself.

The doctor on the ward my son is in [Finch ward] seems to enhance the difficulties of the patients. I thought the reverse was desirable. Pathetic and lamentable.

I spent 9 months at lakeside some years ago. i had a couple of bad expieriences with staff but on the whole it was good. the food was good the advocate was very good. the garden could be brightened up a bit and i believe there should be counsellors attending lakeside to give the patients the time and space to talk. a cafe was built but i dont know if it is operating yet. that would be a great thing to get up and running and i would be willing to give my time to work in the cafe.
