Louis was an extremely rude instuctor. He did not sanitise the steering wheel, gear or any other parts of the vehicle that are essential these days. He might be knowledgeable and experienced, agreed. However, whilst instructing me, at one point he was so patronising that he asked me if there were roundabouts in "my country" that I found extremely as I am a British citizen. He needs to respect leanrners and avoid offending people on the basis of their ethnicities. If he has questions about their origins or driving experiences, he needs to avoid making assumptions, and explicity enquire. Lastly, and most importantly, he refused to take electronic payments and made a big fuss about taking cash on the day of the lesson. He was rude and shouted at me for having left cash upstairs in my house. He did not even make an effort to return the balance on the payment I had made by cash. My advice, stay away!

To put it simply, go with him, learn what he teaches and you will pass first time! He will never make you do more than you need to and is always honest! Best driving instructer ever!

Hi am kido and i have a full uk drevers lucence.
One day i saw a very friendly driving instructor giving a constructive criticism to one of his students. I thought that was great, he is really committed, respectful and very good guy. Then I took his number and went on my business.
2 weeks later I gave LAR ( Mr Louis ) a call and asked for introductory lessons. The man was even cooler and down to earth when I met him in person. Very disciplined and experienced.
After my first lesson, he took note of my weakness and implemented practices to improve my driving giving me an approximate number of lesson to get me to test.
Driving was great, corrected my mistakes on the spot. After few lesson I thought I could go to test, all these due to the level of teaching you get from him that boosts your moral.
21 lessons later, I was a UK licence holder. As simple as that.
The man is cool, very helpful and understanding. He is real. Believe me, true story. Peace!

Let me be the first one to write a review on this page, as I have recently passed my test through LAR Driving School. I am sure many have passed previously throughout Louis's career and many more to go through their practical tests in the near future. I am 100% certain and surely everyone would agree with what I am writing here.

Louis is the best instructor anyone could ever have. He is a great human being!

Professional and Polite with excellent teaching skills any potential learner would desire for... He has previously worked with AA & BSM and has over 20 years of experience in teaching. So all you potential learners out there, you can imagine the great skills he possesses. He is always to the point and never wastes time whilst teaching. I booked a bulk of 20 Lessons with Louis and passed my test on 12th August 2013 at Chingford in the 1st attempt with only 5 Minors. I chose Louis because of his professionalism and also the car "FORD FIESTA" Manual (Diesel). I have tried a few of the other driving schools for initial assessment, but either did not like the instructor or the car. Louis is the perfect match :) When I had my first initial assessment with Louis, I had a feeling that I would pass my practical in the 1st attempt. With 20 Lessons, Louis has built my level of confidence, helped me overcome my nervousness and hesitation. He explains in a simple way that anyone would understand and get it right in the lesson routines.

I would strongly suggest pupil to learn on a Ford Fiesta Manual (Diesel) as the clutch control is a lot easier compared to a petrol car. Specially for Learners who find hard to get the "biting" point and good clutch control. Remember good clutch control not only helps you pass but also helps you to do your manoeuvres right.

There are so many other driving schools that are out there to make money and rip off pupils! Remember it's not the brand name that matters, its the experience of an ADI Instructor that counts. Also, some of the other schools that I have come across charge you different rates for peak/off-peak hours. So beware and take my word before you make up your mind.
