Initially John made such a good impression that despite having a few better quotes we decided that he would be our man. However, as soon as the works began we found ourselves dealing with the same person but a very different personality: an irate, bullish and sometimes outwardly rude and intimidating character.
He failed to adhere to what was discussed on site and later confirmed in writing, we ended up with wrong height of the fence posts and wrong size of the doorstep.
Halfway through John unexpectedly demanded a deposit. Be warned!
They dumped the excavated soil and other rubbish on our neighbour’s lawn.
A big hole was concealed with some cement-like substance which blended into the sporadic pattern of the unwashed drive.
We emailed John more than once and asked him to replace this brick. He never responded. Phone calls are also ignored.
