Reviews
A truly professional experience.
5Excellent quality and customer service
5Wish I could give a review!
1Quite why one would waste their time to survey and measure up, but then not actually quote is beyond me - he should just have been honest and say he didn't want the work!
Im sure he must have had his reasons, but I've wasted weeks waiting for a quote thats obviously not coming and I'm fed up with chasing (he had email, phone and address - no excuse for no contact!).
Irrelevant now, he wouldn't get my business.... if he's this unreliable for a quote what chance would I have he'd actually do the work.
To be fair to the chap he turned up when he said he would, in fact he was early and had to wait for me to arrive for the time we agreed to meet. I had very good first impressions, seemed to know is trade well, and even offered to contact the paint company to check out a few details before commencing work. All seemed good.
Alarm bells did start to ring a little in the background when he explained numerous times he could only do his best and if the paint was faulty he couldn't help that. Im obviously paraphrasing, but because he said it a number of times I confess to losing some of that previously gained confidence in his work. I can see the point he was trying to make is a legitimate one, and I can see how a decorator can find himself in the middle of dispute between supplier and customer.
So, "Good Luck" to any other new potential customers... perhaps there really is a reason he's not on check-a-trade!!!! (Although don't ask - he did get dreadfully animated when I asked him why he wasn't on their database)
As for existing customers, I guess you're very happy and still going back, so perhaps it's not all bad and when he wants the work he does actually do a good job - long may it continue if that is the case.
