Kempton Great Engines Trust

Kempton Steam Museum, Kempton Park Water Treatment Works, Feltham, TW13 6XH Directions

Business overview

A heritage narrow gauge steam railway, open to the public every Sunday and some Saturdays from March to November annually.

We are a volunteer operated tourist attraction especially suited for young families. The railway is currently in the form of a large circle, but an extension from Kempton towards Hampton, a distance of two miles is currently being built.

The railway is a recreation of a historic route that used to bring coal from Thames barges at Hampton to the steam run Kempton Waterworks that pumped clean water to many parts of London.

The original triple expansion steam pumping engines are maintained and operate some Saturdfays at the associated Kempton Steam Museum
