KC Counselling

I have ten years experience as a integrative counsellor, which means I am trained in different modalities of counselling. These being Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Person Centred and Transactional Analysis.

I blend these methods, which enables me to work with a range of issues as sometimes we are unable to identify what our issue is. It can also be difficult for us to say how we are feeling or even know what has got us to the place we are in at the moment.

Blending methods enables me to be able to give you the space to explore different areas of your life, ranging from your childhood to the here and now, to help you gain clarity and awareness of yourself and empower you to be able to move forward.

My experience has been:

Mixed addiction setting for eighteen months.

Female setting for three and a half years 

Male prison for three and a half years. 

Online work for one year.

I now work full time in my practice Kc counselling. 

Through my work I have gained experience working with a range of issues including

Sexual, emotional and physical abuse

Personality disorders (mainly borderline personality disorder/emotionally unstable personality disorder)

Addiction

PTSD

Suicide

Self harm

Grief

Depression

Anxiety.

I work with attachment, by exploring and understanding your attachment style and working through and gaining awareness of your patterns in relationships. 

I have experience in pyschoeducation on a one to one basis and in a group setting. This helps to support you to explore and process your experiences to gain an understanding and awareness of your thoughts, emotions and behaviours.
