I am a well established classically trained piano teacher who has built up an enviable reputation over the last 40 years. I pride myself on my commitment to provide a professional service at all times, whilst maintaining the highest quality of work.

I have a proven work pattern for my students, I set short term targets and long term aims for students and I do not like to rush people into anything.

Parents are welcome to stay and watch their child's lesson.

My friendly, patient approach gives lots of encouragement and I always like to be supportive.

I am always available any time in case a student has any worries or needs to chat on the telephone about their lessons.

I am proof it is never too late.

I have been attending sessions with Kathleen for 2 months. I am 75 years of age. I played when young at a high level but after not playing for over 55 years could not envisage playing properly again. Some bad habits have been identified and no doubt there will be more to come. I had forgotten so many things but she is gradually bringing a lot back to me. A long way to go though. She has awakened my interest in music again, especially the piano. She is an excellent communicator. She is patient. She is an overall amazing teacher. The theory of music is also very important to her as well as the playing of the instrument. She is quite inspirational. I could not have achieved on my own what I have achieved in the time I have been with her. She has given me something that I can focus on on a daily basis. Long may it continue.

We wished we had found her sooner.

Kathleen is amazing. My son had been having piano lessons at his school for almost 2 years and he has learnt more in 4 weeks with Kathleen than he had in the years doing lessons at school.
We wished we had found Kathleen sooner. She is super knowledgeable and patient with my son and he thoroughly enjoys his lessons.

Inspirational Teacher

As a returning adult player, I cannot praise Kathleen's teaching methods enough.
Kathleen immediately puts you at ease, explains things in an easy to understand manner and is extremely knowledgeable on her subject.
After each lesson I come away feeling that my goal of playing piano is achievable.
Kathleen is truly inspirational and I would highly recommend.

Great teacher

Kathleen has been teaching my son piano lessons for the last 5 months, he and I are both very happy with the progress he has made in that time.
His confidence is growing and he is becoming a good pianist.
Kathleen is great with him, very patient and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Kathleen is an excellent teacher, very patient, calm and knowledgeable. Kathleen is always very encouraging and pushes you to be the best you can. Also flexible and accommodating when I need to change my lessons. Highly recommended.
