Customer service is king

The tap was left on live in the bathroom from one of the workers which caused the flow of water to flood the bathroom. When i called up the tiler he was verbally abusive and hung up on me. For whatever reason he clearly should not have been working on that job and appeared “under the influence” .His co worker was apologetic . At the end of the day the company needs to be clear when quoting for work and make all attempts to resolve what damage they are responsible for and not to walk away claiming they are the victim.....

Quoted for laying floor tiles then the price went up. Caused a leak in the bathroom and left the job with the bathroom suite ripped out for my elderly parents. Disgraceful.

Quoted £400 for labour only to take out toilet, sink and bath , provide a plumber to fit 2 isolation valves to sink , to tile 8 sqm of floor tiles and re fit bath toilet and sink, the price went up £80 for the materials i had to collect , however i normally leave it to the customer to provide their own materials . Materials receipt available to see to clarify this. Before we started work we turned off the main water supply. Before we left to go on a break we checked the water was off completely for roughly 20 minutes , you and your daughter in law watched us check that the water was turned off before we left . The leak caused in the bathroom was completely out of my control due to the fact that i was outside at the time the leak occured , on the other hand an in law was playing around with the stop valves causing a leak. I left the job due to the fact of how unreasonable you treated me and falsley accused me of causing a leak in your house.
