JP Counselling

My name is Jane and I am a person-centred and integrative counsellor, registered with National Counselling Service (NCS). I am based in Hull, East Yorkshire, I offer face to face or online counselling.

I work with adults to explore together how you relate to yourself and others, how you communicate, how you think and feel and act. I help you recognise and understand “what is going on for you” and I use a variety of theoretical approaches to accomplish this. Together we will uncover who you are inside so that you are more comfortable in your world.

I am non-judgemental, warm, compassionate, and honest and my priority is to keep you safe whilst you explore and experience your vulnerabilities. Together we will develop more of an understanding of you and what you are experiencing and uncover a new way to create a life that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

Offer you a safe space to talk to me so that you feel heard and understood and I wont judge you

Help you make sense of things and understand yourself better

Help you resolve complicated feelings, or find ways to live with them

Help you recognise unhelpful patterns in the way you think or act and find ways to change them (if you want to)

I can help with depression, anxiety, addictions, trauma, difficult emotions, difficult life events, bereavement and a range of other issues.

It may be that you are unsure of what you would like to explore, or you just are aware that something is not right or you don’t know who you are anymore, it could be that you are experiencing specific things or just feel “stuck”. Together we will explore as much or as little as you are comfortable with
