DO NOT USE1
So I gave him a second chance (January 20220- more fool me! More excuses, that would make you think he had run over a herd of cats- so much bad luck. Although got a quote eventually and agreed he would do the work, all gone quiet. Doesn't reply. Although we have a contract he is clearly untrustworthy. Do not make the same mistake I did. Steer well clear!
Your work having to be replaced , as useless1
I have just engaged another contractor, who will have to remove the useless flaps etc you put up but which still gave pigeons easy access underneath the solar panels but also trapped debris , making things worse, if anything. No wonder you failed to respond to my repeated requests to return!
Altogether , it is costing an additional £430 to remedy the problem. It is something I think the Trading Standards may be interested in.
You might want to consider the methods you are using, as i, if anything it has made things worse.
I think the shattered solar panel brought to my atention may have been caused by earlier work by roofers, but I shall never know for sure.
Failed to check work after a problem occurred2
However, the work to deter pigeons was ineffective. I asked the worked be checked, and got fobbed off repeatedly, in the nicest possible way. I even was promised, by Mr. Joseph, he would turn up the following day and waited in ,unavailingly. I was then told, he would be round the following week, but no to that too. Several calls and messages were then just ignored.
I early on, offered to pay for any extra work involved in checking, but nothing could get them to help.
It is unprofessional ,in my opinion ,to make false promises and to fail to check up , when work may be faulty.
I find a very pleasant manner actually annoying , in these circumstances. An emolliant manner is no substitute for good practice, and was left feeling disillusioned.
