Johnny Madden Music School

John taught me to play some fantastic songs on the guitar, sending me home with recordings that I could listen to and emulate. He even got me some paid gigs playing with his band. I didn’t want to learn to read music at the time so his approach was great. His annual show was always a great opportunity to learn the art of playing in front of an audience too. I look back very fondly on my time under his tuition.

Learnt guitar from John for many years when I was younger. Always found him to be a great teacher, very patient and has an ability to push you to be the best you can be. Had the pleasure of doing concerts with his band, which does wonders for you confidence as a player. Even during summers, when I never had much to do, John offered to give me extra free lessons during the week, which I took up and thought were an amazing guesture from him!

Don't feel the negative reviews are fair. As an former pupil, he's an excellent teacher and a very nice man!

I cannot believe that my guy made a child cry thats abit SSAAAAAADD

Mr Madden has been teaching my son for over 4 years and my daughter for over a year. Always very polite, sincere, professional and knowing how to deal with children. Also very inspiring. Whenever my son was struggling and wanted to stop learning to play his instrument, Mr Madden knew how to persuade him to continue. And now my son has started learning his second instrument. My both children adore him.

He cannot teach at all. He made my child cry. My child is a very clever boy and gets a positive feedback from school all the time but he made him cry and gave him negative feedback and kept on bringing his confidence down. We found Mr. Madden a very arrogant rude man who has no skills of teaching. Very disappointed.
