John Prosser Decorators

I would not recommend this tradesman, painted the bathroom but obviously did not use bathroom paint as requested and now every time the bathroom steams I have water stains running down the wall and a few months later the bathroom needs repainting as it looks awful, blinds and fittings were not removed so decorated around them, bathroom floor covered in white paint spots from the painting of the ceiling. Feature wall papered in bedroom, but the paper was ripped when put up and left and he was surprised when I mentioned it, he did come back and replace the paper but it was still ripped in one place, paste over all the painted wall and over the fitted wardrobe. I was told the 3 bedrooms and bathroom would take 10 days to paint, but he finished it in 6 in a rush. Very disappointed with the standard of workmanship and would not recommend to anyone

Sadly not enough characters to provide comprehensive feedback. Basically he did a terrible job, got paint everywhere, ruined some furniture, didn't turn up one day, arrived late and left early on others. Asked me for half the money after only a few hours work to which I stupidly agreed. Dragged the work out over three weekends when it was only a day or two work. Everything he did needs doing again and the job isn't finished. The last straw was when rather than repair the damage to my table as I asked he turned it around so I wouldn't see it and pretended he had done it. I lost all trust in him. I asked him for a partial refund and we would call it a day, he refused. I am now out of pocket to the tune of £200 plus I have to buy more paint to cover his mistakes and pay someone else to do it. I have damaged furniture and everything that he did needs doing properly. I'm not in the habit of writing bad reviews but I really do have no choice on this occasion.
