Knowledgeable Enthusiastic Craftsman

John came to examine and provide an estimate to restore a George III round snap top table. I only know this much because John told us so much about the table and its history. In less than a week John returned the table and it was transformed and immaculate. We showed him an old mantel clock that needed some loving care and John took that away and, when it was returned, it too was immaculate, with the glass replaced and the wood and brass restored to its former glory. I would not hesitate to recommend John, who is a knowledgeable enthusiast as well as a craftsman, and who does not charge unreasonable amounts.

Edwardian display cabinet

I wish I had photographed my cabinet before I contacted John to show you the contrast, before and after. I was at the point of taking it to the tip when I decided to give it another chance. The result is delightful. I received a prompt reply to my phone call, followed by a home visit and a sympathetic beautiful restoration at a reasonable price. Altogether first class. Thank you.
