Jo Lewis Flute, Clarinet & Sax Tuition

Jo Lewis has been a private music tutor for over 20 years and has a wealth of experience. She offers friendly and patient flute, clarinet, saxophone and music theory tuition for both adults and children alike and for beginners to advanced players. Jo has a 100% pass rate with the ABRSM, with the majority of these being Merits/Distinctions.

The first lesson is FREE OF CHARGE.....this is a chance for Jo to find out your lesson goals and requirements and to see if she's a good fit for you. She understands that it's very important to find a teacher you "click with" and so she won't be offended if you decide not to proceed with lessons, after the initial consultation.

Jo also works in several schools and a music centre as a peripatetic woodwind teacher and is DBS checked.

Jo has studied flute with David Moseley of Opera North and attained the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music DipABRSM and LRSM qualifications in Performance, under his tutelage. More recently she also attained a Postgraduate Diploma in Music Performance as a mature student at the University of Leeds, under the tutelage of Jennifer George.

As well as being a private music tutor, Jo is also a very experienced freelance musician and event organiser. She enjoys freelancing as a pit musician for shows throughout Yorkshire and further afield and also occasionally as an orchestral and chamber musician.
