AVOID THIS FIRM

Avoid this firm at all costs. From my experience, they are solely after maximum profit. I am 81 and sole carer for my disabled wife. From an initial quote of £4,000, I finished up paying £30,000 for a new back roof. I had to threaten them with court action in order to obtain payment for damages. It took me nearly 3 months to get the £376. In one instance, they sent three Pakistani workers to work on the roof. They spoke little English and had no tools. They broke into my tool box and used my tools without my permission. They still have not completed the work and I am having to take them to court.
Any legitimate firm will provide a material warranty and/or a workmanship warranty on providing a new roof. This firm did not and will not provide them.

The team Billy sent round cut corners. Poor job with bad finish. Had to redo leaking lead flashing at chimney myself and fix a broken tile at the eaves as Billy kept avoiding sending someone back while the scaffold was still up. Slate tiles are sloppily put on. Also nails visible in the middle of some slates from outside. Stressful

Billy and his team clearly take pride in their work. Billy responded very quickly and work was carried out straightaway. There was clear communication and updates throughout and the property was left behind immaculately. All work was completed in good time and exactly as was agreed upon. Both him and his scaffolding company are very approachable, so I can’t fault them in any way! Thank you to JCB Roofing!

Review for Billy Ayres JCB roofing. Flat roof replacement but several leaks. Tried hard to get Billy to repair but he was not interested. Billy states work is guaranteed but it’s not. I got him through Checkatrade so used their guarantee svs. Surveyor came round and confirmed the edges were not sealed properly and additional lead work needed to be added. Surveyor confirmed work was poorly done. Billy Ayres is no longer with Checkatrade and is now with CORC so be aware if you hire him there is no guarantee.

Fixed a chimney leak

Billie and his team are great. They keep you informed of all aspects of the job, showing pictures before and after, courteous and tidy. It's too soon to know if the leak has been fixed but I am confident if there any further problems they will not hesitate to come back. Fully recommend them!
