Good range of Japanese items including books, pottery

Situated right in the heart of London a very short distance from Piccadilly Circus, this has been for a long time London's best and largest Japanese supermarket. They used to be housed in a more spacious (and nicer, I think) venue on Regent Street next door to the Mitsukoshi department store. They stock a very comprehensive range of Japanese ingredients as well as cook- and- dinnerware. The staff are impressively helpful and knowledgeable and largely Japanese. As you can expect, the prices are high (e.g. GBP 5 for a small plastic bowl) although bargains can be found if they are looked for.
