James Grove ltd. is a family run business and has been trading for 50 years as Firewood Merchants, Tree Surgeons and Groundwork’s.
As Tree Surgeons and Groundworkers, we operate within Worcester and the surrounding areas. We offer both professional commercial and domestic tree surgery and groundwork. We have considerable experience in the area of dangerous tree work / difficult locations and we employ specialised platform equipment such as cranes, cherry pickers and spider platforms. Our arborists are all highly trained in their trade and adhere to the strictest safest standards.
We are comprehensively insured and all of our customers are protected by our £5 million public liability insurance and we are fully compliant with current Health & Safety legislation.
We sell quality hardwood logs, both barn-dried and kiln-dried along with kindling and fire starters.

Avoid at all costs!!
Left us with an appalling eyesore!!
Contacted the business owner to discuss this and try to rectify amicably-
He was entirely dismissive, but more worryingly, extremely rude and misogynistic towards myself.
Never met a ruder man.
Can’t believe they’ve been in business for as long as they have.
I suspect the positive reviews on here have probably been written by family members (who, by the way, are a part of this so called ‘business’)
Whatever you do, do not use James Groves services!!

On the 1st February we carried out the height reduction of a large Leylandii and a large Norway Spruce. We completed the original height reduction of 50%, however, your husband requested we reduce the height further and then further still. It was explained, at the time, that the aesthetics of the tree would be effected, however, upon your husbands insistence, the team carried out the work. When the work was complete, your husband was happy with the result & yet 5 days later we received your irate calls demanding we remove the trees otherwise you will leave "the worst review we have ever had". As a gesture of goodwill we agreed to your demands to remove the trees, therefore, we are disappointed to see this review. We are a family business & have thousands of happy customers, therefore, we resent your unfounded accusation that our reviews are not genuine!!

Excellent service. Fair price for cutting down a large silver birch tree. Everything happened efficiently and the site was left tidy. The office were really efficient too with their communication.

From the initial appointment and viewing James organised everything and I was kept informed of all necessary time schedules. When it was possible to remove the tree, the staff were excellent. so professional and organised in dealing with a difficult location. You could not tell that the staff had been there and everything was left in a perfect condition. Fully recommend this company and book them if they have any availability. Thankyou

Great job from start to finish!

I needed the canopy spread reduced on three very large trees that were overhanging my property. James came out to have a look and gave some very helpful advice. The work was carried out by his team and I couldn't be happier with the results. The lads arrived on time, worked very quickly and left the garden clean and tidy. I would not hesitate to recommend.
