J W Binks Funeral Directors have been serving Morley and the surrounding areas for nearly 150 years. We are Morley's oldest Family Run, Independent Funeral Directors.

The family firm of J.W. Binks & Sons was founded in 1870 by John Walter Binks. The firm was known in those days for its horse-drawn hearse and hand made coffins.

The current Senior Partner is Mr. Richard Binks and now the firm is renowned for its caring approach, putting the client first, and attention to detail.

We are a modern funeral business offering a wide range of traditional and alternative services to our clients.

Based in Morley and servicing the surrounding areas, we relocated to Park House in 1994 in order to provide our clients with a centrally located funeral home.

Our mortuary facilities and individual chapels of rest are towards the rear of the ground floor, to provide a quiet setting for those wishing to visit their loved ones.

A view of our premises on Queen Street in Morley. Originally a School House built by the Scatcherd Family, Park house went on to become the Liberal Club. We moved here in 1994.

This is our reception room which is situated at the front of our building on the first floor with a nice view out over Scatcherd park. We can comfortably accommodate up to 48 guests here for a funeral tea.

Our service room is at the front of the building, overlooking Scatcherd Park. We can accommodate a service with space for around 50 attendees.

This is our own fleet of specialist funeral vehicles. We have a hearse, two limousines and a private ambulance. We can always acquire further vehicles if more than 2 limousines are required.

Senior Partner. Richard is the fifth generation of Binks to run the family business and has done so since 1991. He had achieved a Diploma in Funeral Directing and is a member of the British Institute of Civil Funerals.

Development Mananger. The 6th Generation to join the family business, Alex is not only a Funeral Director but is also in charge of future development.

Office Manager. Ann joined the team back in 2002. and she began arranging and directing funerals in 2008.

Excellent service

Excellent service from first call to the end of the service, caring, compassionate, absolutely brilliant. Alex & Kelly Binks are great, the chapel of rest is immaculate and you can be assured if anything is wrong they will fix it right away. We used JW Binks 21 years ago and again only 2 days ago, everything from start to finish was as good as it could have been.

Dignity and professionalism

We have used J W Binks twice most recently when my darling mum died. From recovering the body from my home to arranging and the funeral itself this company were marvellous. They were very respectful and acted with great professionalism to my endless list of questions. They allowed us to give my mum the best send off whilst staying in the background but still controlling everything.
They then conducted a short service when we buried my mums ashes. I would not hesitate to recommend them if you want your loved ones to have a well managed dignified funeral.
