Through thirty years of professional experience, James Lisney has combined a successful international performing career with a fervent commitment to teaching. From the youngster who wants a creative outlet at the keyboard to the artist level musician (and teachers themselves), James Lisney provides motivation and inspiration to build the highest level of skill and confidence.

Beginners are taught to understand music as a language and to use it as a tool of self-expression. Materials are chosen to emphasise the joy of discovery. It is advised that parents (if applicable!) should attend lessons to better understand the learning process.

Intermediate and Advanced Students benefit from the top quality studio environment and materials that balance the piano literature with development of physical skills and theoretical background.

Self-evaluation is aided through workshops and performance classes.
