As Chartered Building Company within the framework of the Chartered Institute of Building we offer a professional and reliable service to clients.

Established in 1980, were in the commercial sector. We mainly worked for larger contractors, as part of their team. We worked in this context typically at Marks & Spencer Stores and their Head Office, London Transport, Thames Water, BT, Metropolitan Police, BAA Heathrow, Glaxo, Heinz, AMI Hospitals and John Lyon & Harrow Public School. For the past eleven years we have concentrated on carrying out work for domestic clients.

We specialise in carrying out repairs and renovations to properties of any size. We carry out plastering work and repairs such as flood repairs. Roof repairs and tiling repairs with gutters and fascias. External rendering is undertaken. Repairs and new. We have constructed many domestic extensions and to conservatories. We engage plumbers and heating engineers together with electricians. All specialised works are certified.

I’ve used Joe and his team for many years for various jobs including exterior painting, garden renovations, fencing and some woodworking. I’ve always found them all to be thorough, conscientious, hardworking and a pleasure to deal with. The results are always most satisfactory and I can recommend them.

Another job done for us, to a very high standard.

Joe and his team did a really good job of putting insulated flooring into an extension we have, which was freezing, with its concrete floor. They also insulated the outside wall, and carefully did the necessary redecoration. It is considerably warmer now. And they also moved the furniture and carpet put of the room, replacing them at the end, with no complaints.
They have done several jobs for us over the years, and I have no hesitation on recommending them as reliable and trustworthy, as well as skilful.

Anti-flood air brick installation - five star review

Joe and Phil replaced air bricks with anti-flood air bricks and painted all external window frames and cills. As you would expect from a well established business, they were reliable, trustworthy and professional. They were also very polite, knowledgeable and good company.
I can recommend them to anybody especially if they are worried about having strangers in their home.
The work was completed to a high standard, quickly, tidily and with no fuss or stress.

External repairs and damp proofing

J L Lyons & Co are a long established building company which we used for repairing filling pebbledashing and painting outside wall of the house. Also had chemical damp proofing work to the front bay. This has been done in a professional and timely manner to a high standard which we are very pleased with. We have no hesitation in recommending them to family and friends etc.

Making good areas of pebble dashing where windows and door ways had been infilled with brickwork, also making good around service pipes. Two coat sand and cement, scratch coat with top Canterbury spar finish. Decorate side elevation with santex smooth masonry paint

Joe and his team fitted a new Damp Course to part of the house, repainted the front and laid a new concrete hard stand in the front garden, all the work was carried out in a professional manner on time all to a high standard.
