Etherton Building Conservation owned and run by Jake Etherton. With over 25 years' experience in the building and conservation of listed and period buildings. Our small team of experts will work with you to sympathetically restore, rebuild and bring your property back to its former glory.

We mainly work on listed or period properties, including ecclesiastical, ruins, cemeteries and monuments. Our experienced team of craftspeople at Etherton Building Conservation can offer you traditional conservation methods coupled with the highest levels of craft skills and supervision. We also have extensive knowledge in the appropriate use of modern materials and developments.

Excellent Superior Work carried out with care and expertise

I approached Jake about pointing and cleaning including statues on the front of my house grade 11 listed 1680 Several neighbours had names of people who might do the work but I like to be independent when it comes to choosing whom to hand over my beautiful house. Jake came to see me and I immediately warmed to him as he was knowledgeable sincere and advised me on filling in the planning application something I had never done before. Work was delayed by me because of covid and Ill health but once it started was efficient swift and so expertly done. There were no delays work just flowed. The people who work with Jake seemed to love their job and that showed every day

I have absolutely no complaints about any of the work. It was all first class and I suspect Jake will be busy for a while as so many neighbours have asked for his contact details

Entrusting ones house to someone is always stressful but this choice was superb!

Top job!

Jake and Barney came to do some long overdue limestone pointing at our cottage in Nailsworth. They did a tremendous job of not only completing the pointing work beautifully but locating and successfully fixing a leak in our roof!! Excellent service and workmanship from everyone including the scaffolding team. Would not hesitate in recommending Jake and we will definitely use him again if the need arises!

Lime Repointing

Jake and his team repointed our cottage with lime. Very friendly and knowledgeable people, with some good suggestions for finishing touches. Highly recommended.
