Helpful and professional

My tenant discovered woodworm in some floorboards when doing some decorating. John came round and pointed out that the woodworm may have got into all the floors so all carpets would need to come up. He quoted me a price for all the work with a detailed explanation of what it would cover, and I agreed that it might have to be higher since the amount of damage was not visible. He coordinated with the tenant (who had to temporarily move out) for when the work could be done. The woodworm was all treated (also in the loft) and floorboards and joists replaced where necessary, and he managed to keep everything within his initial quote. He was very good at communicating the work that had to be done, and keeping me updated. The only small problem was a delay in picking up the rotten wood due to an illness at the firm, but on the whole I was very happy with their work and would employ them again.

Professional and friendly company

Just had this company in to carry out dampproofing works, they were very professional and respected my house by keeping it clean whilst works were carried out.
They completed on time and I felt at a reasonable price.
I was nervous having someone working in the house, with myself and husband at home all the time, but they were very accommodating.
Would not hesitate to have them back.

Get well as I need you back to continue your excellent work

Just heard that Mr Blenes of J B Building and Damp has now been discharged from Trelisk Hospital following a very invasive heart procedure.
Therefore I would like to wish him a speedy recovery so he can carry out phase 2 of our work project, as I was totally happy with his professionalism, and the excellent work he’s carried out so far on my cottage in Feock.

Great building company, good reasonable quotes

Very fast response to my enquiry and carried out a survey in super quick time. Informative report that proved useful in my decision whether to buy the property or not. In hindsight they have probably saved me a lot of money! Very reasonable quote for their services, money well spent! I recommend J B Building & Damp Proofing and I will use them again as their charges are very reasonable and they know what they're talking about, in all aspects of building :)
