Good public facility

I mostly use the pool and sauna, and the associated changing and shower facilities. All work as one would hope of a public leisure centre. I think this is an important and decent public leisure centre. I think it's positive that some of the staff seem to be long-serving; hopefully it means it's a nice place to work.

Not welcomed

It was my first visit to use the swimming pool. I must have chosen a bad day but there were too many fully clothed staff-like people around the pool and they looked at me as if I should not be there.

Simply FILTHY and derelict.

In serious need of a couple of deep-cleans then several follow-ups. I've never seen so much accumulated dust, dirt and grime, you can't use any of the limited functioning machines without having your eye's finally focus on DIRT. Wherever you look, the floor, light fixtures, the machines there's dirt everywhere. A lot of the machines have been out of action for quite some time and toilets don't have any tissue or soap.
They do need more staff at reception, queues are lengthy and receptionists appear quite fed up.

Buyer beware!!!

Fusion Fitness at Isleworth is what you would describe as basic gym, and for the short time I used it I found it fine! What I have not found okay, is the fact that they don't answer their phone, or reply to email communication and despite several attempts to cancel my membership, they continue to defraud me, claiming in the one email response I received to not be able to find my membership, despite emailing me their marketing literature on a regular basis and debiting my account each month. I'm having to request that my bank block all future debits and put in a formal complaint through consumer affairs! In the interim, I continue to email daily, to no avail! Do yourself a favour and take a wide berth.

A No Nonsense Local Pool & Gym

Isleworth Rec is just that; a proper local recreation centre. It has all of the facilities that you would wish for but none of the pretensions. Straight forward facilities, and plenty of them but most importantly, there is a real community feel here. The five aside and tennis courts that back into Redlees Park are always in use by teenagers who have formed clubs and teams rather than gangs. One lad even called out “oi mister” when asking me to throw his ball back over the netting. I grinned for an hour.
The pool is a straight forward 25 metre rectangle with a fixed separator to form a kid’s area. This is also where the aquarobic classes are held, meaning that swimming is not restricted.

The centre it's self is somewhat dated if I’m honest, but the place is all the better for it. Don’t expect a café or even well stocked vending machines for that matter (that’s why it only a 4 out of 5 I’m afraid guys, I do need a Mars after a swim) but membership is more than reasonable, as are the non member rates. The result is a centre that is about just getting on with it rather than being full of posers. You can use this place with out the judgment that deters many casual gym users or swimmers. It is welcoming, friendly and old fashioned but offers a decent range of activities and for my mind worth every penny.

PS. I would also recommend the Isleworth chippy; Franks. Great for a post swim cod & chips
