Isaac Owen Traditional Blacksmith

My wife and I have been absolutely delighted by all the work that Isaac has done at our house in Seagry. He has single-handedly built a beautiful patio with Cotswold stone surround and flagstones, erected fencing, laid turf and built raised beds for vegetables. We cannot recommend him highly enough. He’s a very quiet and unassuming young man who works so very hard and gets on with the job. He’s also creative and pays attention to detail. Great value for money as well. And he likes bacon sandwiches to keep him going!! We wish him every success in his business and we’d be very happy to supply any other information regarding his work if required. Mike & Chris Fraser

Isaac is absolutely fantastic, with huge amounts of patience and very calm. He brilliantly taught 14 ten year olds how to carve gnomes, they loved it, he was very clear with instructions and safety. A bonus he picked up our uk Ele at the end and played it!

I don’t know why we were surprised - perhaps we weren’t sure what to expect. But the girls (10 and 12) and their dad (much older) came back raving about the entire Blacksmithing experience. The fire, the hiss of the steam, the clanging, the risk... and the wonderful knives they made. All total sensory brilliance.
Issac has a fabulously chilled way of working with beginners - showing them enough that they can just get on with it without being self conscious. In short the blacksmithing experience was a creative joy and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It would make a brilliant Christmas gift for a hard to please teen... actually for anyone who wants to try something new.
