There is nothing as mysterious as the Great British Public. I have just consumed my first (and last) takeaway from this establishment. It was heaving with diners even being turned away. I was expecting good things as I drove off with my Methi Lamb, chicken tikka bhuna, tarka dall and saag paneer.
Let's start with the meat dishes. In either the chef hadn't even cooked the onions through and the seasoning was virtually non existent. Strangely the lamb was sliced ultra thinly. It was like a cheap processed lamb cut as thin as possible by machine having been previously roasted to death. The chicken was in minute pieces and was obviously pre cooked (maybe in a factory) and crumbled into a watery gravy. Putrid. That about sums up the meat dishes.
The saag paneer was more like a dessert than a vegetable side dish. It was the colour of puss and had a taste which can be described as a cross between semolina and condensed milk. It was the most hideous spinach experience you could imagine.
There's very little you can say about the dall other than they appeared to forget the garlic and the naan breads being the tiniest meagre offerings ever known. It was also cold by the time I got it onto my plate.
In a nutshell I thought the food from here was a sad and pathetic joke.
