Myself and my husband had our first appointment, and cannot praise them enough! From the moment we walked through the door, we were so impressed, the staff were lovely and welcoming, the optician service was outstanding, the covid precautions were superb. Every stage was clearly explained and thorough.

My eye test/examination at iBuntu was the most thorough I have ever experienced. Sandhya Dharumpal, the Optometrist, explained each test undertaken, and her findings, in a clear and unhurried fashion. She uses state of the art equipment and provides a professional, yet friendly eye examination. Once I received my new prescription, Holly guided me patiently through the wide range of frames on offer without any pressure. Result! I now have some lovely glasses fitted with my new prescription and I'm very happy.

This positive experience at iBuntu has given me the confidence to be assessed for contact lenses. Again Sandhya has been excellent: in her detailed optical assessment; in selecting daily contact lenses suited to my eyes and circumstances; and in her very patient sessions teaching me how to insert and remove the lenses. I am now a confident contact lens novice thanks to iBuntu.

In my opinion this is the best opticians I have been to, Sandhya is so caring, patient, understanding and thorough. I was never rushed, the eye examination was explained very carefully describing all the tests as we went along. My Mother who has macular has been seen here and Sandhya went out of her way to find out about products that would help her as much as possible. Holly the receptionist is such a lovely girl helping me choose new glasses and nothing is too much trouble for her. Brilliant service highly recommended!!

I have been going to Ibuntu Opticians for several months now as I felt that I needed more choice in the type of contact lenses I use . The service from Sandhya is excellent and she has been very diligent in prescribing and obtaining different contact lenses for me to trial. Nothing has been too much trouble for her to sort out my lenses and there is not a hurried environment which can be experienced in some high street optical chains. This week, I went back for a contact lens and sight test and Sandhya noticed that there was a deterioration in one of my eyes due to a cataract and wanted me to return later in the same week so that she could do a more intensive test to check behind the eyes. Sandhya was very thorough with her tests and I was very impressed with her equipment. My cataract eye will now be considered for a cataract operation. I have no qualms with Sandhya's professionalism and would not hesitate to recommend her to others .

I have been fortunate enough to have been examined by Sandhya Dharumpal from time to time for more than 10 years, initially at Dollond and Aitchison, subsequently at Boots Opticians and more recently at Ibuntu Opticians in Truro. I have been impressed from the very beginning by her professionalism and manner. She has explained her findings clearly and it was through her first examination that I was referred to a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon for a problem for which he has been treating me ever since. I was delighted when she decided to set up her own practice , Ibuntu Opticians, and have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this practice. I was also very impressed by the manner, knowledge and professionalism of Sandhya's assistant, Holly. The practice has the most up to date equipment and is situated in modern, light premises.
