Welcome to I O’Connell Driving School. My name is Ian. I am a fully qualified DVSA trained instructor offering professional, friendly, driving tuition in North East Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire and surrounding areas.

All levels and abilities are welcome, including nervous drivers. Everyone has different ways of learning, therefore, each lesson is tailored to your individual needs. Every learner is made to feel calm and relaxed so that they have an enjoyable experience behind the wheel.

Learning to drive is not just about passing your test, it’s about gaining appropriate road knowledge and skills to enable you to be a safe and confident driver for life. I can help you achieve this goal.

Excellent instructor

Went above and beyond to help me pass first time and gave up so much of his own time . Delighted ,my mum couldn’t have found me a better instructor. Highly recommended !!!

Couldn’t have asked for a better instructor!
I passed my test first time all thanks to Ian. He was professional, friendly, and made me feel confident from the beginning . Every lesson was clear and focused, and he always stayed calm and encouraging. I’d recommend him to absolutely anyone looking to learn — you won’t find better

Great Instructor

Ian is a fantastic instructor – calm, clear, and always encouraging. He made learning to drive much less stressful and helped build my confidence each lesson. I always felt supported and well-prepared, and I passed my test thanks to his great teaching. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience

Highly recommend Ian’s driving school to anyone wanting to start lessons. Had such an enjoyable experience from start to finish and couldn’t have done it without his support and patience!! It’s so clear Ian really cares about his pupils and wanting to get them through their test. In every lesson Ian was so understanding and gave clear instructions, his teaching is amazing and I could not recommend Ian more.
