The owners, Jim and Josie Dean, moved to Southampton from Poole, to take over Hunters Lodge in November 2001 after having careers in the Banking and Insurance industries.
Conveniently situated for the City Centre, Guild Hall, Civic Centre, Mayflower Theatre, West Quay Shopping, IKEA store, Leisureworld, Ocean Village Marina, Docks, Ferry Port, Cruise Terminals, University, General Hospital & National Oceanography Centre.
Located in a quiet residential district yet within easy accessibility of the city centre where there are a variety of many fine restaurants, cafes and bars available for your evening meals and catering for all tastes.

WONDERFUL STAY
5A very quiet place to stay. The hotel is near to all amenities and only a short walk into the town centre. The Mayflower Theatre is only a few minutes walk away. Breakfast was extremely tasty, cooked to order not like other hotels we have stayed in who use hot plates. Don't expect a small breakfast at this hotel because it consists of fresh and dried fruits, yoghurts, 7 types of cereal, orange and grapefruit juices, white or brown toast and a full english cooked breakfast plus tea or coffee. Not many hotels we have stayed in have this type of breakfast. What more can I say about the hotel apart from it is extremely clean, quiet, perfect hospitality, and well worth the money. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Southampton and the surrounding area. Well done Josie and Jim. Highly recommended. 100 out of 100.
