Humber Road Chippy

Honestly one of the best chippys I’ve been to. Regular customer and always served with a smile by the lovely couple that run it. Such a shame it’s only 2 stars on here!!! It’s AMAZING

Don't understand the poor reviews. This place is well above average.

DONT GO HERE AT ALL!!!! They served me stone cold food, when I returned to the shop 5 mins after getting home and finding out my food was cold, i was spoken to in a very abrupt manner saying that they were not prepared to refund me for my order. i then asked for a number of the owner. The shop assistant gave me a number, where i then asked "would that get me through to the owner" which her reply was "yes". so i went home and rang the number she assured me would take me through to the owner. when i rang, it rang through to the shop were the lady i had just spoken to answered. i asked her why she had lied to me and i received no answer she had put the phone of the hook and i could hear her cleaning in the background and using foul language against me to another member of staff. i put the phone down and rang again to see if i would get a better response all i got was the same things again. after the 7th time ringing i gave her my number for the owner to ring me back as I clearly wasn't getting anywhere, 10 minutes later he rang back and promised me a full refund. so i returned to the shop and asked for owner, he came out in a very aggressive manner and said "oh its you, i wanted to see who you were" then proceeded to argue shout and point at me, when i said "all i came down for was my money back" they refused to refund me. then offering less then half of my money back which he waved in my face, when i refused saying i wanted a FULL refund, they started to get very aggressive and told me i was "very argumentative" even though they asked me to come down to the shop in the first place for the sole purpose of arguing with me, so they had wanted me to return to the shop under false pretences. so lying to me again!!! after refusing to leave unless I got the promised full refund for my order they rang the police. all in all I WOULD AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!! I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO BADLY LIKE THIS BEFORE!!!!!! I also have still not received a full refund and will be taking matters to trading standards. In my opinion it doesn't even deserve the one star!

Fish over cooked,no salad on the chicken kebab,was not even asked if I wanted it,had to repeat order twice and no greeting when entered the shop,will not be going again

Great fish and chip shop.
