The boarding income supports the day to day running costs of our busy rescue centre. After a busy summer we now have vacancies. The dogs are cared for by our experienced welfare team and are walked daily in our private 18 acre woodland, or can have off-lead exercise in our secure paddock.

Wonderful and Amazing People at Hope

We just adopted Mitzi and are so happy, as she is an absolute Darling. Lyndsey and the Lady on reception at Hope Rescue were FAB, they couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. Lyndsey has also followed us up to see how we are getting on with Mitzi - Amazing, Caring, Wonderful People - Thanks to all the staff at Hope Rescue!

Awful

Our pug went missing last night and was taken to Hope Rescue in Llanharan. She was missing for under an hour and was taken straight here despite us trying to contact the person whom had her. We were only informed she was there after she’d been taken, so called numerous times and eventually got through. It was around 6pm and we wanted to come and collect her but were told we weren’t able to resulting in an upset and stressed dog, upset family and a £60 fine. I was also spoken to in a rude and condescending manner by someone who doesn’t seem to understand that accidents occur, whom then pretty much accused us of neglecting our dog. Our dog could’ve been brought home to her family but was forced to stay in a very unpleasant place for the night simply because we were not allowed to come and pick her up, despite being able to get there in ten minutes. I am truly disgusted with this and feel as though our dogs well being was not considered whatsoever - seems the important factor was money.

We rescued our dog from Hope and we board him there whenever we go away he loves it there I hate leaving him but he doesn't even look back at us just trots off wagging his tail which is a great comfort we've also got to know the staff there over the last couple of years all genuine dog lovers👍☺️

Bad kennels

Would not recommend these kennels as they seem to find it totally acceptable that despite providing pre weighed bags of food for each dog and giving instructions that they needed to be fed a bag each twice a day this didn’t happen they only had one bag between them each meal half the ration. To make matters worse when I questioned this the owner sat there while a member of staff virtually threw me out and slammed the door behind me. Comment from the owner afterwards oh well they are ok they have been fed they weren’t starving. Nobody thought to contact us to question why there was all this extra food.

We are sorry for the mistake with your dogs food resulting from a miscommunication between our staff team. We have investigated the issue, identified where we can improve our systems and all staff involved will be provided with extra training. At Hope Rescue we put the dog's welfare first and we are very sorry that on this occasion we have fallen below our own high standards. Please accept our apologies for how your complaint was dealt with at the time, this again has fallen below our standards for customer service. We have already discussed the issue with the staff involved to ensure that complaints are dealt with in a more appropriate manner in the future. Best wishes The Hope Rescue Team

We have boarded our dog with Hope a number of times now, and he is fine when we have returned. He's become very fond of one of the staff in particular The grounds where the dogs are walked is like a woodland walk. There's also a paddock and secure play area within the grounds, where the dogs can be let off lead to play. Most importantly, the staff are welcoming and friendly.
