AVOID! AVOID AVOID!

Avoid this company at all costs! Had my car towed there by the RAC who call these an approved garage! They wanted £1500.00 for clutch replacement despite every other garage all quoting way under 1K. They also said they were a busy garage and the work would take 9 days to complete. As expect, I declined their work and all of a sudden they were refusing to hand my car back unless I paid them a £209.00 release fee! They had actually tapered with the car without my authorisation and were then holding it as ransom! I was forced to pay this so that I could get my car back, I then took it to a clutch specialist who fixed it for £900.00 and within 2 days! This company are extorting people as many of the reviews are stating the same has happened to them. Be WARNED!!!

Appalling garage. Our Honda broke down last week & RAC told us it was likely the turbo need replacing, plus other connected faults. They advised us to take it to Honda main dealer.
Unwisely, we decided to try Homesdale Road garage. We told them in advance what the problem was, & they said bring it in for a quote.
It took a couple of days but they finally got back to us & told us that it would be over £5K to fix,(Honda had quoted 2K)
It was an old car & not worth £3K so would be foolish to waste £5K+ just to get it running. The guy was very surprised that we weren't interested in wasting money to get it fixed.
We arranged for a car breaker to buy it off us & we met them at the garage to give it to them.
Outrageously, the male member of staff at the garage - presumably annoyed at us not wanting to do the expensive work - then took advantage of me being a lone female & intimidated me into paying a £40 "fee" just for giving us a quote. They had not mentioned this "fee" before

AWFUL GARAGE, PLEASE AVOID

Had work done in Aug 19' to fix broken window on VW Polo at Homesdale Motors. Around March time, the window started playing up and stopped working. COVID and being stuck at University meant that only recently have I been able to return to the garage to ask them to try to resolve the issue.
I was told the car needed a new window motor (£320!!) so I decided not to get the work done. Worse, they tried to charge me a fee for reassembly of the door which I refused to pay as I thought it was clear that I expected the window to be looked at out of a gesture of goodwill.
They also never called to say my car was ready to collect as all customer service disappeared when I raised issue with the reassembly fee so I went to the garage to see if it was ready. After I was begrudgingly given my key, I found my car had been left unlocked (probably for several days) in their car park.
AVOID this garage - customer service is terrible and no wonder they have received so many 1 star reviews.

Have been using Homesdale for many years and have consistently found their service to be of a high standard. The staff are helpful, clear about the needs of my car and reliable. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Always friendly, polite, helpful and efficient. Never had any issues when dealing with them. Would recommend.
