Our live in carer Mary was employed by Homecare Southlodge for our sister in the last week of her life. I don't normally write reviews but feel compelled to do so after the exemplary care our sister received.
We feel so blessed to have been aquainted with Mary at what was an otherwise very sad and stressful time in our lives. She went above and beyond in her caring duties and undertook every task with such kindness and sensitivity. She was also a huge support to us as a family after our sister sadly passed away.
I cannot recommend Mary highly enough, she is an all round superb carer and a lovely, kind and genuine lady.

Southlodge carers are among the most professional I have met. They were always punctual, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, and established a good rapport with my close friend. They even enjoyed his singing! And would share a joke. They made his life more tolerable, and for that I will always be grateful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care agency.

I was supporting me elderly neighbour for a long time but since he returned from hospital the level of care needed to be increased to morning, afternoon and evening calls. After a few months of support from one company I wrote a short report highlighting their failures and incompetence and struggled to rate them one star. The authorities reacted swiftly and introduced me to Homecare Southlodge and the difference in standard of care and service they provided was vast. While they provided an excellent level of care my neighbour needed, they were also engaging. skilled, warm hearted and compassionate. Communication is a must and they would leave a note or call me if my neighbour was running low on anything or required something. I hadn’t realised how many sleepless nights I was having worrying about my neighbour until Homecare Southlodge came on board and in the first week I overslept a few times because my worries had gone away. Outstanding service.

I have had the best experience with this company whilst my Grandma was ill. They went above and beyond to meet her needs. The carers where very knowledgeable and the Manager always went the extra mile and was often flexible with changes.

My family & I will be eternally grateful for the OUTSTANDING care provided by Homecare Southlodge in my fathers final couple of weeks. They were so flexible and accommodating and sprang into action following an interview at very short notice. The care manager (a former district nurse) was seemingly available 24 hours per day, she was sympathetic, efficient & knowledgeable. However, it is to my Fathers principle carer that I must pay full credit. She had an intuitive and never ending supply of sympathy and energy for not only Dad but the family & all visitors to the house. To meet his every need was her primary concern - her own needs were placed far behind. The tenderness she displayed throughout was relentless, from day one she was amazing. We call her "our Angel"
